My week before Easter was taken up by a couple of larger projects - one I'll have for sale at the London Gaming Market next weekend, and one I'll have for sale at the London Film & Comic Con. I teased you last time with a Ninja Gaiden piece, and finally finished it (after running out of light blue beads, and having to wait for a delivery). It measures 50x50cm and took many hours to make! Next up, another big one. I haven't yet seen Batman V Superman, but couldn't resist making a triple portrait of the 3 main characters. I know the reviews aren't great, but it seems to have hit with the fans, and I'm a fan, so I reckon I'll probably like it. Not sure about Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor though... Anyway, it took a long time to make, due to on-the-fly modifications I had to make (the computer program rarely makes a flawless design). This one measures 40x50cm, and is just awaiting a frame. I'm really happy with how it came out, and I'm looking forward to seeing peoples' responses at the convention. After doing large pieces, I always like to do some smaller ones - makes me feel productive to see some quicker results! I found these 2 designs on Google and couldn't resist beading them. Since I was young I've been a big fan of Bruce Lee and Star Wars, so the decision was easy. Each one took about an hour and I love how much detail they convey, in so few beads. It inspired me to design my own black and white portraits, the first of which I started this morning. Pics of that to follow!
